Why should your company verify GHG Statements to ISO 14064-1?

  • Meet mandatory and voluntary reporting requirements

  • Supports the development and implementation of carbon reduction and net-zero strategies
  • Supports mitigation actions through emissions removals and reductions.
  • Supports PPN06/21 Carbon Reduction Plan compliance (requirements for UK government contracts),

What are the benefits of ISO 14064 independent verification?

Integrity

Validates success

Verification against ISO 14064-1 provides assurance of your carbon footprint declarations which will give confidence in achieving the projected emission reductions.

Stakeholder assurance

Stakeholders are increasingly looking for independent verification of GHG Data to prove reduction are achieved year on year.

We offer two levels of assurance:

  • Limited – emission verified in detail, but less so than with reasonable assurance. Limited assurance is better suited for companies that are just starting on GHG calculations or do not have the support of an external consultancy.
  • Reasonable – Emissions verified to a high level of assurance to confirm all figures are correct. More detailed checks are performed on source data, with virtually all evidence checked.

In summary, limited assurance confirms that there are no errors, whereas reasonable assurance allows us to form a ‘positive opinion’ and state everything is correct.
